Wow ok I am listening to this song, and I looove this song better than the Chicago version that was unreleased on SOS album. I can't actually listen to Chi version at all. Jason's version to me is listenable, and shows that Jason was prolly a better singer on the song better than Bill.

He sounds really good better than Bill singing it I agree I don't have to force myself to listen to it like other one, I actually like it

Jason sings very good on this song. I love his attitude here...his passion, his funk. I love too the way he plays his bass in this song. He really give to this song his own dimension , his own touch. It's always nice to hear Jason sings the songs he has written, specially after someone else has already sung them. I must recognize that I think Bill's performance is good, very " a la Bill', and the funk of the SOS version is very particular. I was shocked, of course, when I heard SOS version at fist, with that peculiar sound. But then i got used to it and I tolerate it very well...But it cannot be compared with Jason's solo version!! It's so awesome!! I love Jason's color in his voice!! Smooth, sultry, high...clear, confident. I usually am not a fan of jazzy tunes, but i love the jazz rock touch in Mah Johng, really, it's very enjoyable to me.

That's cool you like Bill's version. I guess I wouldn't like it to much because in SOS Champlin was just bad on that song than on others. That's a disappointment sence I like Bill's work a lot on Chi.

Yes, something alike happens to me with Bill's songs on SOS. They wanted to be such a rocking, cutting edge band on that album, SOS really sounds very heavy to me and I was very shocked with the album the first time i heard it...i had to stop it after track 8!! I waited some moments, and then finished hearing it. and Bill songs on SOS are...so-so...you know...an entire world different than on Chicago 21. I think that was the real idea. "Show must go on" and "Plaid" are Bill tunes that really left me so perplex...but, i think it's a matter of getting used to the particular sound. And really loving what you hear.
But the Jason songs in SOS are FABULOUS!!! I love all of them...Including..."Get On This"!!!that song really is very shocking too...But hearing Jason rocking so hard really was a real emotion for me!! I am almost happy that he recorded that song, even though the lyrics are so ...hard and avant garde!!! Jason sings like the best heavy metal/ hard rocker int the world!!
In fact, Jason songs are really awesome on SOS!!!

Oh yes, SOS is unlike Chi's other albums and I was surprised by it when I heard it first too but then the sons grew on me more I heard them and I just love it Oh, I just love Jason's songs on it too (has a lot of great ones for sure). It's nice hearing him try new things with his voice too I agree!! It really shows off his talent/ability!!
